Prom season is just around the corner and you might be wishing that your braces were going or be removed before the big day. Braces shouldn’t be a problem, even during your fancy night out.
We recognize that your braces have a sneaky way of keeping food hidden between brackets. If you are going to eat out before attending the prom, you might want to carry a small interdental toothbrush in your purse or in some other concealed place. You can always go to the restroom, brush quickly and throw the brush away.
Cleaning your mouth not only gets rid of any embarrassing particles, but it is also the best way to reduce bad breath.
Another thing that you can do to reduce the chances of bad breath, is to drink lots of water during the day. Water will help your mouth stay moist which helps wash away bacteria.
If you plan to whiten your teeth for the big night, skip those over-the-counter whitening kits. These can cause your teeth to look uneven. Instead, use a non-whitening toothpaste. This will help remove the surface stains on your teeth with its polishing agents.
